Peter Josephat Niboye Governance & Leadership Professional | Environmental Advocate | Development Practitioner Peter Josephat Niboye is a Tanzanian governance and leadership professional, environmental advocate, and development practitioner committed to advancing sustainable development, youth empowerment, climate action, and international cooperation. He serves as the Executive Director of the ImpactBridge Global Foundation (IBGF), where he provides strategic leadership in designing and implementing initiatives that strengthen communities through education, environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and multi-sector partnerships. ## Experience & Leadership Peter has accumulated extensive experience in public administration, governance, parliamentary affairs, youth leadership, and civil society development. Throughout his career, he has championed inclusive leadership, community engagement, and evidence-based policy approaches that promote sustainable social and economic transformation. He previously served as President of the Tanzania Higher Learning Students' Organization (TAHLISO) from 2018 to 2020, representing the interests of university and college students across Tanzania, promoting student leadership, strengthening collaboration among higher learning institutions, and advocating for policies that enhanced student welfare and participation in national development. Peter also served as Advisor to the Secretary General of the All-Africa Students Union (AASU) for the East African Community (EAC) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) regions — supporting regional collaboration among student organizations, promoting youth leadership, strengthening institutional partnerships, and contributing to initiatives advancing education, governance, and youth development across Africa. His professional journey spans leadership and advisory roles in government institutions, Parliament, civil society organizations, and international networks, where he has contributed to governance reforms, environmental advocacy, public policy, and community development. ## International Engagement Peter has represented Tanzania at international leadership, diplomacy, and development forums across Africa, Asia, and Europe, including professional exchange and capacity-building programmes in the People's Republic of China, Belgium, and the United Kingdom — experiences that have enhanced his expertise in international cooperation, sustainable development, diplomacy, and global partnerships. ## Education He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Leadership and Governance, along with executive and professional training in leadership, diplomacy, international protocol, governance, climate action, and sustainable development. ## Leading ImpactBridge Global Foundation (IBGF) Under his leadership, IBGF works to advance: Climate action and environmental sustainability Youth leadership and civic engagement Education and skills development Women's and girls' empowerment Community health and social inclusion Disability inclusion and equal opportunities Sports for development Good governance and civic participation Strategic partnerships for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Peter believes that sustainable development is achieved through visionary leadership, integrity, innovation, and collaboration among governments, civil society, the private sector, and local communities. Asma Iddi Mkwata is a Tanzanian development professional, registered engineer, and programme management specialist with extensive experience in project management, strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and sustainable development. She serves as the Head of Programs and Fundraising Lead at the ImpactBridge Global Foundation (IBGF), where she oversees programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, partnership development, and fundraising initiatives that advance the Foundation’s mission. With a multidisciplinary background in engineering, project management, and community development, Asma brings a practical and results-oriented approach to delivering high-impact programmes. Her professional experience spans infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, institutional strengthening, and stakeholder engagement across both the public and private sectors. Publicly available professional information indicates that she is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Tanzania and has worked on engineering and development initiatives. (LinkedIn) At IBGF, Asma leads the Foundation’s programme portfolio by developing innovative projects, coordinating strategic partnerships, strengthening donor engagement, and mobilizing financial resources to support sustainable community development.
